Each bag contains two halves of an ammonite that has been polished. Please note pic is for reference only. Each Ammonite bag has a slightly different specimen. Please email us if you would like individual pictures. They measure approx. 19 mm across the widest point: they weigh approx. 5 grams.

 

Ammonites were Marine animals that belonged to the Cephalopods. They had coils shells like the nautilus. They appeared 425 million years ago and were common in the oceans when the dinosaurs were alive. They went extinct some 66 million years ago.
