This is a Fossil Mako Shark Tooth. This was found in Venice, Florida. This piece measures approx. 40 x 25 mm: thickness is 6 mm: weight is 5 grams.
The Mako Shark has been in existence from the Paleocene to present day. It has been clock at a speed of 31 mph, with a body length of 8-13 feet.
